OVERVIEW OF NIMCET EXAM DETAILS 2024
The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NITs for admission to their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program. This exam is conducted once a year, typically in June, with the application process starting around March. The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions based on subjects like Mathematics, Computer Awareness, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, and General English. Candidates are required to hold a graduation degree in relevant fields like BCA/B.Sc/
The result is valid for admission to the NITs of Agartala, Allahabad, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Calicut, Kurukshetra, Patna, Surathkal, Raipur, Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), and Warangal. Every year, over 50,000 students apply for the NIMCET exam, with 805 seats available in 11 NITs across India.

NIMCET Eligibility Criteria 2024
- Indian nationals with at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (or 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale for SC/ST/PwD) in
- A three-year UG programme with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects,
OR
- A B.E./B.Tech. From a recognised university/institution, are eligible to apply for NIMCET-2024.
- It is not authorised to convert scored scores from CGPA to percentage, or vice versa.
- Candidates must have completed or be completing B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons)/BCA/BIT of 3 years from Open Universities approved by UGC/Government of India.
- There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in NIMCET.
- The percentage criteria for eligibility are as follows:
- General category/ OBC category: Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA
- SC/ST category: Minimum 55% marks or 6 CGPA
- The minimum educational qualification should not be later than September 15, 2024.

NIMCET SCHEME OF TEST PATTERN 2024
The NIMCET-2024 test will consist of only one question paper with 120 multiple-choice questions covering the following areas. Multiple-choice questions will be written in English alone and will not be translated into any other language.

To apply for NIMCET 2024, follow these steps:
- Registration:
- Visit the official NIMCET website and click on the registration link.

- Filling the Application Form:

- Payment of Application Fee:
