NIFT ENTRANCE EXAMS ELIGIBILITY 2025

FOR NIFT BACHELOR PROGRAMME (B.Des.) – DESIGN

Age Limit -

The age criteria for the NIFT B.Des program in 2025 are as follows:

• The candidate should be less than 24 years of age as of August 1, 2024, to be considered for admission to the B.Des program.
• There is a relaxation in the upper age limit of five years for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories.

Educational Qualification –

As per the official NIFT 2025 Admission Guidelines, the educational qualifications for the B.Des program are:

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from CBSE/ State Board or any recognized Board. There is no minimum marks requirement for the 10+2 exam.

OR

• Candidates who have completed a 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are also eligible for admission to the B.Des program.

OR

• A passing score in at least five subjects on the National Open School Senior Secondary School Examination.

OR

• Any public school, board, or university examination that is recognised as being equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities, whether it is conducted in India or abroad.

OR

• A level Advanced General Certificate Education (GCE) examination offered in London, Cambridge, and Sri Lanka; also known as the International Baccalaureate (IB).

FOR NIFT BACHELOR PROGRAMME (B.FTech.) – TECHNOLOGY

Age Limit -

The age criteria for the NIFT B.FTech program in 2025 are as follows:

The final selection for NIFT's Bachelor's and Master's programs in 2025 is based on the overall performance of the candidate in the entrance exam, situation test, and personal interview. The weightage for the selection rounds varies for different programs.
