KEAM Exam Details Overview 2025

KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala, for admissions to various professional courses offered by participating institutes in the state of Kerala, India. The exam is divided into sections of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam is based on topics from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry standard to Class 12th or equivalent examination. The exam is conducted in the state of Kerala, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Dubai. The exam is conducted in the online mode, i.e. computer-based test this year.

KEAM Important Dates 2025

KEAM 2025 Notification was released on the official website on 20th February 2025. Candidates can apply online from 20th February 2025 to the last date 12th March 2025. Candidates must frequently check EaseTolearn to be updated on important and recent KEAM 2025 exam notifications.

NOTE: The CEE examinations will only be conducted for admission to Engineering courses.

  • Candidates seeking admission to any of the Medical & Allied courses must take and pass the NEET- UG 2025 exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
  • Admission to B.Pharm courses is determined on the scores obtained in the PAPER-1 (Physics & Chemistry) section of the KEAM Exam.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2025

KEAM Nationality Requirements 2025

  • Only candidates with Indian citizenship are eligible to apply for KEAM 2025.
  • Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will also be considered as Indian, but they will not be able to apply for any other kind of reservation.
  • Candidates seeking admissions to professional courses will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) and Non-Keralite Category II (NK II).
  • Keralite: Candidates of Kerala origin are categorized as Keralite.
  • Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): Children of Central government employees, including defence personnel, working in Kerala; and of state government employees belonging to other states who have worked at least two years in Kerala.
  • Non-Keralite Category II (NK II): Candidates who are not covered under the Keralite or Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) categories.
  • Candidates who have not established permanent residency in Kerala but have completed five years of their education in the state, including those who do not possess a Kerala domicile certificate but have finished or are currently pursuing their studies from the 8th standard onwards in Kerala, are also eligible to apply.

KEAM Age Criteria 2025

  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2025. There is no relaxation for minimum age and there is no upper limit for the exam.

KEAM Educational Qualification 2025

For Engineering Courses:

[Including B.Tech (Agri. Engg.) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University and B.Tech (Food Technology) course under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies]

  1. Candidates must qualify for the higher secondary examination or equivalents from the recognized board.
  2. They need to secure a minimum of 45% marks in above subjects.
  3. The candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as optional subject. If the candidate does not have a Chemistry subject, their scores in Computer Science/ Bio-Technology or Biology will be considered.

For Architecture course:

  1. Candidates must have completed 12th grade or an equivalent examination from the Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Education or any other recognized board.
  2. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 % marks in aggregate are eligible.
  3. Candidates must have a valid NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) scorecard.
  4. Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
