RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2024

The CBT Stage II exam is divided into two parts:

Part A:

  • There will be a total of 100 questions for 100 marks.
  • The exam will cover Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and Basic Science and Engineering.
  • The duration of Part A is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes).
  • There will be negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each incorrect answer.
  • Subjects: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering, General Awareness and Current Affairs

Part B:

  • There will be 75 questions for 75 marks.
  • The exam will test candidates on their relevant discipline/trade.
  • The duration of Part B is 60 minutes (1 hour).
  • Part B will be qualifying in nature, and the marks will not be counted for final selection.
  • The minimum qualifying mark required to qualify in Part B is 35% (irrespective of category).

RRB ALP CBAT Exam Pattern 2024

  • Candidates equal to 8 times the total vacancies for each community will be shortlisted for CBAT based on their marks in Part A of CBT 2.
  • CBAT is a qualifying exam with no negative marking.
  • A minimum score of 42 marks is required to qualify this stage.
  • While preparing the merit list, 70% weightage will be given for marks obtained in Part-A of CBT 2 score and 30% to CBAT score.
