OVERVIEW OF MAT EXAM DETAILS

One of the most popular national-level MBA entrance tests in India after the CAT is the Management Aptitude Test or MAT Exam. The MAT entrance exam is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year – February, May, September, and December. For MBA/PGDM Admission in 2024, more than 600 colleges are accepting the results of the MAT exam 2024. MAT is an easier exam and lasts for two hours. The MAT exam is conducted in three different testing modes-Paper Based Test (PBT), and Computer Based Test (CBT) modes. Candidates can apply for one or more MAT exams to increase their scores.

MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST (MAT) is a standardized test that has been administered since 1988 to help Business Schools (B-Schools) screen candidates for admission to MBA and related programs. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD recognized MAT as a national-level examination in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The biggest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600 B-schools across India.

Candidate can take Management Aptitude Test (MAT) as

(i) Paper Based Test (PBT) or

(ii) Computer Based Test (CBT) or

(iv) Computer Based Test 1 and Computer Based Test 2 (CBT 1 + CBT 2)

MAT Eligibility 2024 –

The All India Management Association (AIMA) defines the criteria for the MAT exam and related guidelines. To confirm their eligibility for the exam, candidates must check the following criteria.

The candidate must meet the MAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 listed below in order to be considered for the admission test.

Educational Qualification Criteria-

  • The candidates must have completed their graduation degree from a recognized University in any stream or a professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA).
  • The final-year graduation students can also apply for the MAT 2024 Exam.

Age Limit -

  • There is no upper age limit to appear for the MAT 2024 exam.

Work Experience –

  • No minimum work experience is required to take the MAT exam.

Number of Attempts:

  • There is no restriction on the number of attempts of the MAT exam.

MAT HOW TO APPLY 2024

All India Management Association (AIMA) starts the application process for the MAT exam 2024 in online mode. The MAT registration 2024 dates for PBT, CBT, and modes are different. Do not forget this when filling out the online MAT 2024 application form at the official website. Check the steps of filling MAT 2024 application process below –

Step 1

  • Go to the official website (https://mat.aima.in/) and open the registration window to ‘create new login’.
  • Enter your personal details (password, name, valid ID, and birthdate).

· The confirmation will be sent to your email address. Write down your password and user ID.

Step 2

  • Login using your user ID and password.
  • Select the centers (test cities) where you want to appear for the exam.
  • Select the MAT-accepting institutes where you have already applied or wish to apply for MBA/PGDM admission.
  • Enter yourpersonal, contact and address details.
  • Enter youreducational qualification and work experience details (if any).
  • ‘Save’the details and uploadyour scanned signature and photograph according to the specified guidelines.
  • After submission, download a copy of the properly completed application form.

  • MAT 2024 application fee has to be paid via online mode only (Debit / Credit Card/Net Banking).

NOTE:-

  • Candidates can opt for an additional mode of test (e.g. PBT+CBT, CBT+CBT) by paying an extra fee of 1200/- in addition to 2100/-.
  • Candidates opting for additional tests will have the benefit of selecting an additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to the existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes i.e. they can select 7 Management Institutes in total.

List of Participating Management Institutes: Choose the institutions to which you have applied or are currently applying. Candidates are urged to immediately contact the relevant Authorities, Institutes, or Universities to inquire about the approval or recognition status of various programs.

MAT ADMITS CARD 2024

All candidates for the MAT who have enrolled provisionally for the PBT, and/or CBT must download their admit cards from the AIMA website in accordance with the schedule given above.

The name, form number, roll number, test date, time, and test location are all listed on the admit card for the candidate.

MAT RESULT 2024

The May 2024 MAT score will be accessible on the MAT website: by 1st Week of January 2025. Candidates must access the website https://mat.aima.in/ to download their MAT Score.
