OVERVIEW OF CUET UG EXAM DETAILS 2024
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate programs at various universities. CUET provides a common platform for candidates seeking admission to UG programs in state, central, private, and deemed universities. It assesses candidates in language, domain knowledge, and general aptitude. CUET UG offers admission to programs like Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, and more across more than 300 universities in India. The exam is conducted annually in computer-based mode and the scores are accepted by numerous universities. In 2024, CUET has been introduced as a revamped version of CUCET, with a new exam pattern consisting of three sections: Language Test, Domain-Specific papers, and General Test.
COMMON UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST UNDER GRADUATE (CUET UG) EXAM– IMPORTANT DATES

CUET UG Eligibility Criteria 2024
According to the CUET UG eligibility requirements, candidates must have passed the class 12 or an equivalent exam in 2024 or have registered for the exam. The CUET exam has notset upper age limit. Candidates must confirmage limits with the specific university they want admission in by visiting its website.
CUET UG Medium of Exam 2024
The CUET UG 2024 exam can be attempted in 13 different languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.Candidates have the flexibility to choose the language in which they wish to take the exam based on their preference and proficiency.
CUET UG Exam Sections 2024
The CUET UG 2024 examination consists of four sections with different numbers of languages:
- Section IA (Language): Candidates can choose from 13 languages for this section.
- Section IB (Optional Language): This section includes 20 languages for candidates to choose from.
- Section II (Domain Subject): Candidates can select from 27 domain-specific subjects, including Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, Mathematics (Applied & Core), and Chemistry, etc with different durations for each subject.
- Section III (General Test): This section does not specify the number of languages but is part of the exam pattern.
A candidate can select any language/domain-specific subject/general test, or a combination of the three. When applying, include any documents that may be required for admission to specific courses at the desired university. It is not necessary to select one or more of the Tests/Subjects listed above. The choice of tests/subjects would be determined by the candidate's chosen course(s) and the university (ies) to which admission is sought.
Examination Slots are arranged using a combination of the Sections listed above.
A candidate may select any Language, any Domain-Specific Topic, any Generic Test, or a combination of them. while applying, as may be necessary for admission to a particular course or courses at the targeted university or universities. It is not required to select any one or more of the aforementioned tests or subjects. The candidate's chosen course(s) and the university(ies) to which admission is sought will determine the tests and subjects to be used.
A mixture of the aforementioned Components is used to arrange examination slots.
In Appendix II of the CUET information bulletin, a list of the languages, domain-specific subjects, and general test topics addressed are provided.
Note:
(a) A Candidate may submit up to 09tests in the following ways:
Maximum of 06 Domain Topics from Section II, maximum of 02 languages from Sections IA and IB combined, and maximum of the General Test from Section III.
OR
Maximum of 05 Domain Topics from Section II and General Test from Section III. Maximum of 03 languages from Sections IA and IB combined.
(b) NTA has chosen to provide a choice option in each section of the question paper due to the fact that applicants for the CUET (UG) - 2023 will come from various States and Boards, although the overall number of questions will stay the same.
In order to select Languages, Domain-Specific Courses, and General Test, the Candidate MUST check the requirements of the University he or she intends to attend.
CUET UG Registration Process 2024
The CUET UG 2024 registration process involves the following steps:
- Registration: Candidates must register for the online application form on the official website - exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
- Filling the Application Form: After successful registration, candidates should fill out their personal details, educational qualification, university/program selection, test paper details, choose examination cities, and upload the required documents (if any).
- Fee Payment: Candidates need to pay the application fee, which can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
- Confirmation Page: After successful payment, a confirmation page will be generated, indicating the candidate's candidature.
- Document Upload: Candidates must upload scanned images of their passport photographs and signatures, as per the specified requirements.
- Save and Print: Candidates should save, download, and print a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
The CUET UG 2024 registration process began on February 27, 2024, and the last date for submission of the application form is March 26, 2024.

CUET UG Admit Card 2024
The candidates would get their e-Admit Cards via the NTA website on a provisional basis:
https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/provided that the National Testing Agency (NTA) receives the required application fee and that all eligibility requirements are met.
The candidate must access the NTA website to download the admit card. The candidate will show up for the exam at the designated location on the date, shift, and time specified in his or her electronic admit card.
The following are some things the applicant should keep in mind about the admission card:
· You can download the admit card from the CUET 2024 official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
· The candidate must show up at the appropriate location on the date and at the time indicated on his or her e-Admit Card to take the test.
· No candidate is allowed to show up at the testing location on a day, during a shift, or at a time other than those listed on their admission card.
· Candidates should get in touch with the NTA if they are unable to download their admit cards from the internet. The NTA will soon post the official exam notification for CUET 2024 as well as information on the helpdesk.
· Applicants are advised to thoroughly examine the instructions on the admit card and strictly follow them throughout the exam.
Results for the CUET 2024 exam should be available by the final week of June 2024. Scorecards for students can be downloaded from the official CUET NTA website.
