The country's Industrial Property laws, including the Patents Act of 1970, the Designs Act of 2000, the Trade Marks Act of 1999, and the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration & Protection) Act of 1999, are all administered by the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks (CGPDTM). The CGPDTM also serves as the copyrights and layout-design registrar for semiconductor integrated circuits.

The CGPDTM Recruitment 2023 Notification was released by the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, on July 6. They have 553 open openings across a variety of employment categories. The CGPDTM Recruitment 2023 online application procedure will start on July 14th, and the application deadline is August 4th, 2023.

CGPDTM Recruitment 2023 – Selection Process

The recruitment process of CGPDTM occurs in three phases:

1) Preliminary Examination

2) Mains Examination

3) Interview

A final merit list of qualifying candidates will be produced by giving the combined marks in Papers I and II of the main examination 80% weightage and the marks in the interview 20% weightage.
