Indian Navy Agniveer (MR) recruits are chosen on the basis of their performance in the computer-based exam, subject to passing the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written examination and being healthy enough for the medical exams.

Agniveer (MR) Stage II : PFT, Written Examination and Recruitment Medical

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • 1.6 Km Run: Candidates need to complete the run within 7 minutes.
  • Squats (Uthak Baithak): Candidates need to complete 20 squats (Male) &15(Female).
  • Push-ups (Dand): Candidates need to complete 15(Male) & 10(Female) push-ups.

Written Examination

The stage II written exam will be conducted only for those candi- dates who qualify the PFT. The details of stage II written exam are as follows:-

  • The written exam will be objective-type and multiple-choice.
  • The exam will consist of two sections: Science & Mathematics and General Awareness.
  • Exam will have 50 questions, and the total marks will be 50.
  • The exam duration will be 30 minutes.

Recruitment Medical Examination

  • Medical Standards: Candidates need to meet the medical standards as per the Indian Navy's guidelines.
  • Visual Standards: Candidates need to have a minimum vision of 6/60 in each eye (without glasses) and 6/6 in each eye (with glasses).
  • Body Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of the forearms (from inside of the elbow to the wrist) and on the reverse side of the palm/back of the hand.
  • Medical Examination Centers: The medical examination will be conducted at INS Chilka or other designated centers.

Merit list will be prepared based on performance in written examination, subject to qualification in Physical Fitness Test.
