SRMJEEE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 2024

Nationality - Candidates of Indian origin, Non-Resident Indians (NRI), and holders of PIO or OCI cards issued by the Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE 2024.

Note: NRIs and holders of Government of India-issued PIO or OCI cards who have not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply only as foreign students.

Age Limit- The candidate must have turned 16 or older on July 31 of the year that the 12thBoard, Standard, or Grade exam takes place.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed their 10+2 level exams or its equivalent from a recognized board or university with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM.
• The compulsory subjects for the 10+2 level exams include Physics and Mathematics, along with any one of the following: Chemistry/Biology/Botany/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Engineering Graphics/BotanyandZoology/ Biotechnology from any state board within India, CBSE, ICSE, Matriculation, or NIOS
• GCE A-level, International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, or IB certificate with Physics and Mathematics as required subjects and one of the following as a major (equivalent to Advanced Placement level in each subject): Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practises, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies..
• Candidates who have studied 12th standard from NIOS are eligible to apply, but if they have also done their 10th standard from NIOS, then they will not be eligible to apply for SRMJEEE 2024.
• Only those candidates who have passed the above qualifying examination in not more than two attempts, including appearance for improvement, will be considered for admission

For B.Tech Programme-

A minimum 60% aggregate in PCM, PMB, PCB, PCB, or Z (Botany or Zoology) is required for B.Tech programmes provided by the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Genetic Engineering, and Department of Biomedical Engineering. In the first year of their B.Tech, students who did not major in mathematics in their 10+2 education must take an additional 4 credit courses in Mathematics.

Direct Admission

For students who achieve Ist rank on all Central and State boards in India, the institute provides scholarships in addition to direct admission. Direct admission would be available to the top 1000 IIT JEE scorers in the Tamil Nadu district for each outstanding national and international athlete.
