OVERVIEW OF FOREIGN MEDICAL EXAMINATION EXAM DETAILS
The Screening Test Regulations of 2002 introduced the FMGE-Screening Test. According to the rules, “An Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15 March 2002 shall be required to pass a screening test held for that purpose by the designated authority in accordance with section 13 of the Act.
As per the current schedule, the Screening Test is held by the National Board
of Examinations inJune and December each year.

FMGE Examining Procedure :
- The FMGE Exam is conducted twice a year in June and December.
- Medium of the FMGE exam is English language.
- The FMGE Examination shall be conducted as a Computer Based Test or CBT
mode consist of 300 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of a single correct
response type without any negative marking as per the existing scheme of the
Foreign Medical Graduate Examination.
- FMGE Exam contains NO negative marking.
- A candidate for the FMGE is only considered to have passed if they receive
at least 50% of the total exam marks.
- FMGE Examination Results (Pass/Fail) for eligible candidates will be
displayed at the website and office of NBE. Marks obtained shall be declared
for all the candidates and also displayed at the website.
- The applicants who cleared the FMGE Screening Test may apply to the
Medical Council of India, New Delhi or to any State Medical Council for
provisional registration / permanent registration.
- An FMGE applicant may take as many attempts as they like without any limitations.

- FMGE Late Fee – This is to be submitted by those participants who have applied on & after the deadline date of fee submission – Rs 1500/- (One Thousand & Five Hundred only)
FMGE Payment Method 2024
The required registration fee must be paid using a payment gateway with a
credit card, debit card, or net banking account issued by an Indian bank.
FMGE Admit Card and Test Day Procedures 2024
FMGE ADMIT CARD: On July 01, 2024, the National Board of Examinations website, https://natboard.edu.in, will publish the admit cards. Before the exam is conducted, candidates who have been found to be ineligible will not be given admit cards.

METHOD TO FILL ONLINE FMGE APPLICATION FORM:
The index page of FMGE June 2024 session at National Board of Examinations
website www.nbe.edu.in provides a quick link, “Applicant Login”.
After successfully logging in, you can use this quick link to access the
online application form for the FMGE June 2024 session.
New User Registration: All applicants who wish to be
selected for the FMGE June 2024 session must first construct an online profile
of themselves in order to receive a User ID and Password.
Applicant Login: The candidate will be able to log in as a
candidate for the FMGE June 2024 session and register an online application
using the User ID and Password that have been set. After user creation, the
"Go To Application" link enables the applicant to carry on with the
application submission.
